The University of Adelaide International Scholarships for 2024, known as the Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI), are now open for applications.
These scholarships are available to both Master’s and PhD students from around the world, without any restrictions or reservations based on nationality or background. Each year, several scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Qualification and Consideration for Eligibility
To be considered for the scholarship offer at the Adelaide University International Scholarship, candidates are to meet to the following eligibility conditions :
- applicants must have successfully completed at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree. This typically refers to a four-year undergraduate degree program with a major research project completed in the final year. It’s important that all qualifying programs of study are successfully completed to meet this criterion.
- If applicants are pursuing a Research Master degree, they must not possess a research qualification regarded by the University of Adelaide to be equivalent to or higher than an Australian Research Master degree.
- International applicants for the University of Adelaide International Scholarships must demonstrate meeting the minimum English language proficiency requirements for direct entry by the scholarship closing date. Alternatively, if applicants have completed a Pre-Enrolment English Program to fulfill the entry requirements for their intended program of study, they may be considered eligible.
- International applicants for the University of Adelaide International Scholarships are ineligible if they have already begun the degree program for which they are seeking an award, unless they can provide evidence that they were unable to apply in the previous scholarship round.
- Applicants who applied for the University of Adelaide International Scholarships and were eligible for consideration in a previous international scholarship round but were unsuccessful will automatically be reconsidered in the following scholarship round. This reconsideration is based on the assumption that these applicants still hold a valid offer of candidature for the intake corresponding to the subsequent scholarship round.
Scholarship Benefits at Adelaide Scholarship International
The Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) offer the following benefits:
- Course Tuition Fees Coverage: ASI provides coverage for course tuition fees for a duration of two years for Master’s degrees by Research and three years for Doctoral research degrees. In the case of doctoral programs, an extension may be possible.
- Annual Living Allowance: Recipients of ASI will receive an annual living allowance, which is indexed annually. The living allowance is provided for two years for Master’s degrees by Research and three years for Doctoral research degrees. Similar to tuition fees, doctoral program recipients may be eligible for an extension.
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): For recipients holding a Postgraduate Research (Subclass 574) visa, ASI provides compulsory standard Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Worldcare policy. This policy covers the student, as well as their spouse and dependents (if any), for the standard duration of the student visa.
