The applicant must have a first academic degree if applying for a Master’s program or a Master’s degree if applying for a doctoral program.

Selection Criteria
1. Initial Application to Host Institution:
The scholarship application procedure begins with the applicant applying to the host institution for admission to a Master’s or PhD program.

After receiving applications, the host institution draws up a shortlist well in advance.

Only the applicants, after pre-selection by the universities, are invited to re-apply for final selection through the DAAD portal.
