Every UNIZULU Students are to activate and use their email accounts to communicate with the University of Zululand, South Africa. All registered UNIZULU student receives a free email account for life. All you have to do is activate it.

UNIZULU passes messages across only via your email account. Although UNIZULU will occasionally send SMSs and letters, these are not the main means of communicating with students.

UNIZULU Student Email Login

The university student makes it known to the students upon successful admission that the Official communication from the university is sent through email to a student’s email address The rules for the use of the UNIZULU email account are as follows:

All official communication from the university will be sent to the UNIZULU email account. Other additional communication means may be used from time to time, but the university will communicate with students primarily via their UNIZULU email addresses.

The UNIZULU email account will be the only email account recognized by UNIZULU for official communication and from the university and will remain the official primary email address on record at UNIZULU.

The university provides all registered students with a free UNIZULU email address. It is the student’s responsibility to activate their email address as soon as their registration is completed.

How to Create UNIZULU Student Email

You must activate your UNIZULU student account if you haven’t already done so. Go to my UNIZULU website and click on “Create account”. Follow the steps carefully.

To access UNIZULU OFfice 365 Services (Student Email), go to https://outlook.office.com/ (All your university messages will be on this email address). You log in to your emails, download, and activate Microsoft Office and Teams with Student_Number@stu.unizulu.ac.za.

Meanwhile, any students who did not get the SMS can send their complaints to ICT STUDENT DESK at the mail: LABS@UNIZULU.AC.ZA. You must send it with your student number, id/passport number, and phone number.

Note: You must activate your UNIZULU student account before you can use your UNIZULU email and It may take up to 24 hours for your email ]to be activated. Once your email account has been created, click on the email button on the homepage of UNIZULU. Sign in with your e-mail address and your password.

How to Check UNIZULU Email

The student email is hosted by Microsoft Outlook.

1. To Log into UNIZULU email first login to the student portal or click on this link to visit the Microsoft Outlook login page

2. Once you log in, click on “My email”.

3. Click on the Student id tab and type your Student ID number.

4. In the Password box enter your current network password.

Importance of UNIZULU Email to Students.

The University of Zululand will send all official messages such as your exam timetable and results) to this email, which means that it’s very easy to receive information when you need it. Fortunately, you can access your UNIZULU email account from any network and from anywhere in the world. You just need internet access on your device.

How to Login UNIZULU Student Portal

You can log in to UNIZULU with your username and password.  Tap on the Student link on the homepage. The first time that you log in, you are required to sign up for the service. On all subsequent logins, after entering your username and password you will see your account dashboard.

The Student Portal provides easy access to your customizable and personal online services such as email, file storage, library services, the web-based learning environment, personal development planning, wellbeing, and support.

1. Sign in to the Portal @ http://www.unizulu.ac.za/ using your university email and network password

2. Click Login.

3. Once logged in you can access the navigation panel that provides options to view Home and Student dashboards. The newsroom tab detailing the latest Institution News is also available.

How long does it take for UNIZULU to respond to your application? According to UNIZULU, the processing of student applications takes some time. Applicants may only receive feedback from UNIZULU six to eight weeks after the closing date for applications. That implies you can check your application status six weeks after the application deadline.
