FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship for Postgraduate Students (Fully-funded)
The scholarship opportunity for South African citizens is incredibly generous, offering up to R1.5 million for a Master’s degree and up to R2 million for a PhD. The financial support provided by the FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship empowers South African students to pursue postgraduate studies outside of South Africa in a wide range of disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Applicants must be South African Citizen
- Preference will be given to candidates under the age of 35
- Applicants with leadership qualities
- Applicants with strength of character
- Community involvement and
- Potential to be a destiny changer in his or her chosen field.
- Candidates who are currently, or have been, studying overseas for degree purposes will not be considered for this scholarship.
- All candidates are expected to make sure they return to South Africa for at least five (5) years after completing their studies.
