- Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships: Granted to the best international students from non-EU/EEA countries to pursue any master’s or Ph.D. course in Ireland. There is a case wherein some scholarships remove the requirement to appear for IELTS if it can be proved that prior education was based on an English-medium curriculum.
- Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship: This scholarship, provided by the Irish Research Council, allows talented students to pursue a research master’s or Ph.D. program in any discipline at participating Irish higher education institutions. All these scholarships will have different eligibility criteria, and some might include language proficiency requirements. Some institutions may waive the need for IELTS if the applicant can prove proficiency through other means.
- Private Scholarships: There are a few private organizations, foundations, and corporations that grant scholarships to international students who come to study in Ireland. Although the eligibility may vary for each, some of them do not require an IELTS score if a person shows competence in some other way.
