Undergraduate International Merit Scholarship Criteria

Eligible Nationalities: Applicants from any country can proceed to apply


Eligible Courses or Subjects: The scholarship covers undergraduate degree programs in accounting, history, art, science, engineering, business, and IT.

Eligibility Criteria: All aspiring applicants must be international students who have enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a recognized University in their respective country’s.

Required Documents: Applicants are required to submit several documents as part of the application process, including pre-qualification degree, academic transcripts, certificates of English language proficiency (such as TOEFL or IELTS), a personal statement, and a copy of their passport.

Admission Requirements: Intending students must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is necessary for most courses at the university. Accepted English language proficiency tests include TOEFL and IELTS.

University of Southern Maine Application Deadline

  • Fall Semester: The last date to apply for the scholarship for the Fall Semester is 1st June 2024. Prospective students who wish to begin their undergraduate studies in the Fall Semester should ensure that their applications are submitted before this deadline.
  • Spring Semester: For students planning to start their studies in the Spring Semester, the deadline to apply for the scholarship is 15th October 2024. This allows applicants to apply for the scholarship if they are starting their undergraduate program in the Spring Semester.

Application Procedures for the University of Southern Maine Undergraduate Scholarship

All applicants are advised they meet the eligibility criteria and submit all required documents for admission to the undergraduate degree program at the University of Southern Maine. Once that is done, applicants will automatically be considered for the merit scholarship.
